RED CABINETS
This kitchen remodel features uniquely-stained cabinets and black granite countertops.  The top cabinets continue through to the adjacent Family Room to provide spacial continuity.
LAKEFRONT HOME
The kitchen is the centerpoint of a new lakeside home in Oregon.  Maple cabinets, granite countertops, stainless steel appliances and oak floors create a welcoming character to the space.
REMODELED KITCHEN IN THE VALLEY
This kitchen was part of a complete remodeling of a home in Forest Knolls.
KITCHEN UPGRADE: Upgrades to this existing kitchen include "green" tile, countertops.  New appliances are stainless steel.

A raised ceiling and complete remodel of this kitchen was phase 2 of a complete home renovation

SLEEPY HOLLOW KITCHEN
Cherry cabinets, tile counters and stainless steel appliances are featured in this kitchen.  The kitchen was relocated within the existing house footprint in order to improve interior relationships.
SAN ANSELMO REMODELED KITCHEN
While keeping the traditional style of the existing house, this remodeling revised the configuration of the kitchen.
OWNER-BUILDER
A budget kitchen remodel, this project was largely constructed by the Owner using Ikea cabinets, porcelain tile, and oak flooring.

CLERESTORY WINDOWS
The unique feature of this remodeled kitchen is a series of clerestory windows over the easterly top cabinets, allowing light into the space but assuring privacy from the neighbor.
PINE CABINETS
and a unique angled corner provide a special character to this kitchen.
A circular lightwell above mimics the form of the circular granite countertop below.
TUDOR
This Peacock Gap home was completely re-styled. Traditional raised panel cabinets and a unique central island add quality to the kitchen detailing.

Addition by the Pool
This addition provides a formal dining room directly off of the existing kitchen with south-facing views or the rear yard and swimming pool.  Accent colors provide a warm glow as a focal point when entering the space.

These bathrooms are part of the home addition shown under Remodel/ ADDITION - Expanded Living Space on Corte Madera Lagoon  The unique use of glass block as part of the shower provides borrowed ight from the skylight.
The traditional bathroom fixtures above, including the pedestal sinks and clawfoot tub, are part of the New Farmhouse seen under "New Homes".
This Tiburon guest bath features a bowl sink and Egyptian marble tile.
The master bath to the right is located on the lower floor of a steeply sloping downslope home. The glazed Spanish tile creates a simple plane incorporating the tub deck and vanity countertop.  Acrylic block windows provide light while assuring privacy.  See New Homes/ Steep Down-slope Home
Glazed Spanish tile creates the vanity top, skirt and shower surround for an integrated appearance.  This bathroom is located in a new downslope studio-home in Fairfax.  See New "Down-slope" homes.

FAMILY ROOM addition in Fairfax
This addition of a Family Room with new kitchen is done in the style of the original bungalow.  High windows capture views to the north.
KITCHEN - Red Cabinets
This kitchen remodel expands the existing kitchen and replaces all cabinets with new ash cabinets either stained red or left natural.  The cabinets continue into the adjacent Family Room with storage space & buffet, which along with the new oak floors, give the entire space a visual continuity.

A simple addition to an existing bedroom provides a spacious bedroom/sitting area + master bath.  Tall ceilings and north-facing windows provide light & views up into the trees.

Glass Enclosure
This living room addition, in Madrone Canyon amidst a redwood groove, adds on to the end of the home providing light into an existing dark space.  The glassed-in volume shares light with the adjacent dining room, entry and sewing loft.

A much-needed Family Room was added onto this Kentfield home, adjacent to the remodeled kitchen and taking advantage of the large patio space to the rear of the house.  Views to the south take advantage of the Mt. Tam location and the south sun.

BATHROOM - New Master Suite in Tiburon
The bedroom/ bath addition to the home was constrained by the sideyard setback.  Both the bedroom and the bathroom were angled to provide as much area as possible, making for interesting interior spaces.  The vanity countertop was angled to conform to the setback.  Light was provided into the space with high windows, still affording privacy.  The adjoining deck was rebuilt with a tiled surface and glass railings assuring the spectacular view of the bay.

Here is another use of glass block in this Larkspur master bath to provide light and privacy from the adjacent swimmng pool area.
This bath was added to an existing Pleasant Hill home.  While the materials remain traditional in keeping with the house, the interior space is opened up with large windows, interior glazing and mirrors.
FAMILY ROOM - Skylit Space in San Anselmo
The existing small family room was expanded to enclose an existing deck area.  To assure that light penetrates this north-facing room, a series of skylights were introduced.  Natural light is shared between the Family Room and an adjacent Study by means of interior windows.

Scope of work also included rebuilding the entry porch and remodeling the existing Living Room.

Sleepy Hollow Kitchen
This remodel makes use of a redundant living space by relocating & enlarging the kitchen, converting the existing kitchen area into a large formal dining room space, and adding a new office/ guest space.  The kitchen now flows visually into the existing family room.  Features include:

Remodeled Kitchen in the Valley
This kitchen has been relocated and expanded.  Opening into the remodeled family room, the kitchen features stainelss steel appliances, douglas fir singe-panel cabinets, granite countertops, and a light-well to balance the light.
The project also includes revised finishes throughout the house including the addition of an entry pavilion that brings light into the center of the dwelling..

Kitchen Upgrade
New finishes and appliances were installed into this existing San Ansemo kitchen with an emphasis on "green" materials.  While cabinets were retained or matched at re-designed areas, the following was upgraded:
Flooring of "Marmoleum" linoleum tile, granite countertops, stainless steel appliances and backsplash, sink and faucet, new lighting, wainscotting, and paint colors.
The project not only upgraded the kitchen, but a 2nd floor was added with new master bedroom, office space, and bath.  The living room was upgraded and fireplace refinished.

This home has been remodeled twice, the first expanding the living room and the second remodeling the kitchen and master bedroom. San Anselmo Remodeled Kitchen
The original kitchen was in need of remodeling.  The reconfiguration of the space allowed direct access from the kitchen to the rear outdoor living area and provided more direct sunlight into the interior space.  The new efficient work trangle also allowed additional adjacent space for a storage hutch.

Owner-Builder Kitchen
Guest Room
Interior walls between the kitchen, family, dining & living rooms have been removed to provide a continuously-flowing living space.  Kitchen has been relocated into the former family room space.  Features include:
Simple contemporary materials, cabinetry & appliances.
Re-built deck area relates directly to the remodeled kitchen.
Panoramic view of the bay & Marin Co. hills can be seen from the kitchen and the deck.
Low-voltage lighting has been used overhead & undercabinet.

Pine Cabinets
The kitchen of this existing 2-story home has been completely reconfigured and remodeled to provide a large open work space with curved center island.  Additional work includes the addition of another floor consisting of a Master Bedroom suite with home office overlooking a panoramic view.

Clerestory Windows
A ribbon of high windows located over a horizontal band of single-panel, Douglas Fir top cabinets provides an even wash of natural light into this remodeled kitchen.  The kitchen opens into the added Family Room with gas-fired fireplace.

Mill Valley Kitchen
This Mill Valley addition and remodeling to an old craftsman-style home expanded the kitchen as well as added and remodeled the master bath and closets above.  A unique feature of the kitchen is the use of both cherry and white cabinets.

2nd Story Master Bedroom Suite Addition in Fairfax
The upper floor has been added to this Fairfax bungalow, providing a new master bedroom suite with a dramatic view to the southwest, from Mt. Tamalpias to the western Fairfax hills.  Vaulted ceiling and open dressing area provide a sense of spaciousness.  Gas-fired, remote-controlled fireplace provides heating for the upper floor.  Bathtub orientation also captures the view.
